Sapho Employee Experience Portal 4.5: New Amazon and Microsoft integrations, improvements, and more powerful business logic capabilities

Sapho Employee Experience Portal 4.5 is now available and packed with new features our customers have been asking for.

New Sapho AWS integration

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a secure cloud services platform, offering computing power, database storage, content delivery, and other useful features to help businesses scale and grow.

Starting with Sapho 4.5, Sapho can now monitor AWS usage, the costs associated with AWS resources, and receive automatic notifications about service cost changes.

Employees will be able to create efficiency reports for different source types and make simple calculations of usage and cost to help them identify and remove unused resources.

Enhanced reporting capabilities for Microsoft Power BI

Power BI Report Server allows your workforce to access the enterprise reporting capabilities of SQL Server Reporting Services directly from a single unified portal.

With Sapho, you can now view your custom Power BI Report Server reports right in Sapho from any device, intranet, or messenger. You can generate precisely formatted reports for the business needs of your employees, enabling them to visually explore data and quickly discover patterns to make better, more informed decisions.

Get more out of your notifications with summary feed cards

Would you prefer a daily summary of your notifications about important information, interesting system updates, or high-priority tasks from a single system, such as Concur or Workday?

Instead of generating one notification card per expense report waiting for approval, you can now generate a summary feed card in your personalized workfeed that delivers an overview of all of your new expense reports. Similarly, you can create a summary feed card for employees that contains multiple expenses that require them to submit expense reports.

Summary feed cards allow employees to filter notifications more easily, enabling them to identify and manage similar notifications more effectively to help boost productivity.

Extend Sapho business logic with custom Java methods

While Sapho offers significant out-of-the-box business logic capabilities, there are still situations that might require a custom solution. That’s why we’ve added the ability to create your own Java code, easily bind it to Sapho Server, and then, link it as a button action. For security purposes, you can even limit which Java classes are accessible in Sapho Builder. You can learn more about setting up a Java method service action, here.

 

Enhanced flex grid properties

The flex grid is a powerful Sapho component that allows you to create user-friendly layouts for your micro apps. In Sapho Employee Experience Portal 4.5, we’ve added new formatting properties to make it even easier to design engaging, modern experiences for employees.

In addition to border style and CSS classes, you can now configure the following visual properties in Sapho Builder:

  • Label and desktop label positioning
  • Cell horizontal alignment
  • Cell padding
  • Column and row spacing
  • Edge to Edge stretch out

 

Personalize Sapho with this new Page Hero component update

It’s easier than ever to give your micro apps a more personalized look and feel in Sapho. We’ve enhanced our Page Hero component to allow you to dynamically display header images from your storage or CDN.

For example, you can configure your Active Directory app to display an image based on the city where an employee is located. Don’t have images for all the cities your employees are located in? The Page Hero component allows you to set a fallback option as well.

Get notifications anywhere with the Sapho API

There are situations when you may want to allow employees to receive notifications in another system without having to log into Sapho.

You can now leverage our public REST API to integrate notifications from Sapho into any system. Our API can be used to send information about important user-related events, the micro apps where the events were triggered, and notifications can be sorted or filtered by relevance or a specified timeframe.

The Sapho API can be enabled or disabled, and it can be accessed with a secure API key. You can learn more about how to use the Sapho API to get notifications, here
