Sapho 4.0 is now available and, as always, it is packed with new features and improvements. Here are just some of the highlights.
Up until now, it was only possible to see the total number of new feed cards from all micro apps as a notification badge on the Sapho App icon, but this has changed in Sapho 4.0. When you go to the Apps page in the Home App, you’ll notice that each micro app now has a badge showing exactly how many new cards related to that particular micro app are in your feed. This new feature, combined with our feed filtering feature, makes it easier than ever to hone in on the latest notifications that matter most to you.
Sapho 4.0 brings an element of customization to the Apps page as well. In Settings, you’ll now see a list of all your micro apps at the bottom of the page. If you would like to reorder them on the Apps page, you can drag and drop any one of them to a new position in the list. You’ll see any changes you make immediately on Apps the page.
You’ll also notice a toggle next to each micro app that lets you switch them on and off. But don’t worry, this won’t delete the micro app. Apps that are switched off will simply be hidden on the Apps page to help reduce any clutter you might have from infrequently used apps. You can always turn them back on again when you need to check something.
MobileIron has been included in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant as a leader in Enterprise Mobility Management Suites for seven years in a row now, and we’re happy to support full integration with MobileIron for single sign-on. Now, not only can you take advantage of MobileIron’s SSO functionality, you can also chain authentication from Active Directory or LDAP in order to leverage your existing user groups.
Sapho also supports setting up custom variables in the MobileIron AppConnect configuration that can later be used for various user-related tasks in your micro apps, like prefilling search criteria or limiting query results.
We’re constantly improving our existing integrations with every new release of Sapho. This time around, we focused on JIRA and added a brand new action. You can now add comments to tickets through your Sapho micro apps (and our own template micro app has already been updated accordingly). With this new feature, we’ve rounded out the list of the most common ticket actions, letting users change status, change assignee, and now add comments.
