Events and Social Media Specialist

Sapho is tripling productivity and effectiveness by putting personalized and relevant tasks and information at employees’ fingertips. We’re looking for an event and social media specialist to join our Marketing team in San Bruno.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for engaging multiple audiences through social media channels and in-person events. Driving booth traffic, developing creative banners, graphics, GIFs, memes – you know what it takes to grab people’s attention. This role will report to our VP of Marketing and will collaborate with product and sales teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support event-related logistics for all conferences, tradeshows, and industry events
  • Coordinate the creation and execution of all event-related content including briefing documents, marketing emails, creative materials, and internal communications, and presentations
  • Manage vendors and assist with contracts for deliverables such as giveaways/promotions, booth management, shipping, labor, A/V, hotel room blocks, and more
  • Track lead generation and enable the sales team to follow up on event leads to drive pipeline
  • Attend assigned events to manage on-site presence and ensure a smooth and successful event
  • Help keep track of budget expenses, including tracking actuals, and submitting invoices for payment
  • Manage and monitor Sapho’s social channels (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn) and build brand awareness
  • Provide analytics for all social channels, and communications launches/campaigns
  • Understand social media strategy and content marketing metrics
  • Owner of social listening, closely monitoring daily Sapho, industry, and competitor channels for relevant conversations and engaging/escalating as appropriate
  • Support and coordinate with marketing and product on social media strategy and publish digital content for launches and announcements
  • Solicit, copy edit, stage, and publish blogs in line with marketing department editorial calendar themes

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in an event or social media marketing related role, preferably with a tech company
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Must have deep understanding of social media platforms including Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and relevant analytics tools to measure program success.
  • Team player willing to pitch in on other projects whenever needed
  • Experience with marketing automation systems (e.g. Hubspot) and CRM (e.g. Salesforce) preferred
  • Exceptional copy editing skills and ability to comprehend complex enterprise technology topics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Creative, innovative, curious, resourceful, and results-oriented
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to facilitate events
